SCOO Commissioning Day 2025

Dear Members of the Sailing Club of Oriental,

Please join us for the Blessing of the Fleet 2025!

The event will include an on-the-water blessing by Reverend Eric Danmeyer. We will have a welcoming of new members and then a lunch in Lou Mac Park in Oriental.

• Time: 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM (Blessing of the Fleet on the water)
•              12:00 PM Lou Mac Park
• Location: Oriental Waterfront & Lou Mac Park
  

Reverend Danmeyer will accompany me aboard the committee boat for the blessing of the SCOO Fleet. SCOO boats wishing to be blessed will proceed north between Oriental and the committee boat.

At noon at Lou Mac Park, we will have introductions and greetings to our new members followed by a catered lunch. Lunch will be catered by Rick's Barbecue, consisting of pulled pork, brisket, and sides. This year, Rick's promises not to forget to bring the food!

Members are asked to bring a dessert to share, *BYOB (non-alcoholic), and chairs as they will not be provided. Water will be provided. *Oriental town ordinance does not allow alcohol at the park.

Cost: $15 per person

**Please remember no pets allowed when food is being served.
